We have exciting news.

Tree Action Seattle is proud to be a founding member of the Green Neighborhoods Coalition | Seattle, a growing alliance of organizations working toward a simple idea: Seattle can build more housing and protect its trees at the same time.

For too long, we've been told we have to choose between housing and a healthy urban forest. That's a false choice. Cities around the world have shown that thoughtful planning can create more homes, preserve mature trees, expand green space, and strengthen the communities that  call these neighborhoods home.

That's the future we're fighting for.

Together with organizations including Birds Connect Seattle and, PlantAmnesty, and Seattle Parks Foundation, we're advocating for smarter growth—one that welcomes new neighbors without paving over the trees that make Seattle livable keep our city healthy or displacing the communities that make these neighborhoods thrive.

Seattle can grow. But it must grow wisely.

By joining forces, our voices become stronger, our expertise grows deeper, and our impact becomes greater. We're excited to work alongside so many partners who believe that housing, trees, climate resilience, and thriving neighborhoods all belong together.
