Five mature, native Western red cedars and Douglas firs are going to be cut for development in Columbia City. With small site design changes, at least two of the trees could be saved. But the City of Seattle doesn’t protect trees on lots under development.

These aren’t just trees. They’re:

  • Seattle’s natural defense against heat and climate collapse
  • One of the largest contiguous native groves in Columbia City.
  • Filters for runoff that flows into Lake Washington.

Join us Wednesday, to help expose failing removal practices and fight for Seattle’s last big trees.
